VM Images

What are the VM Images?

VM Images are fully configured virtual machine files used during deployment.

A virtual machine image defines the realm, the volume, and the operating system. When creating an image, the OS must match the OS associated with the volume. For each volume, there can be only one VM image.

What is the tiCrypt Mechanism to Conduct Security Scanning and Vulnerability Assessments?

Security scanning is performed within the VM. Additionally, standard antivirus and scanning tools can be enabled to monitor VM images while the VM is running. Since nothing can be executed in the Vault (cold storage), file scanning is not required within the Vault. As a result, VMs are non-persistent and boot from pre-prepared images, and any malicious changes are eliminated upon reboot.
